The app
CaliRep is a calisthenics app for beginners on iPhone. You state your current numbers for pull-ups, push-ups and dips. Each goal workout is six sessions ending in one attempt at a target computed from those numbers and held fixed until you reach it. The first goal workout is free; the rest unlock with a subscription. There is no account and no email; filming a set is optional.
To be plain about scope: CaliRep counts reps and keeps its promise about your target. It is not a coach, it does not verify your form, and it is not a medical or physiotherapy service.
The person
Cristian Serb builds CaliRep and writes every article on this site. He also builds PEAKVO2, an interval training app for iPhone and Apple Watch, and the training content there. More at criss.dev.
How the articles are written
Each article opens by answering its own question, cites the studies it leans on with links to PubMed or an equivalent, and carries a visible updated date. Training claims are checked against the cited sources; claims about the app are checked against the app. Where a number is a rule of thumb rather than a finding, the article says so.
Keyword research decides what gets written, in the order beginners search for it. Nothing on this site is sponsored.
